High school is a big stepping stone for you and your child. Our Catholic secondary schools strive to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. Our Catholic schools offer something special for everyone, from specialized academic programs to competitive sports, from arts programs to special skills majors. Step 1: Are you a Grade 8 student in a LDCSB Elementary School?
If yes, elementary schools will provide Grade 8 students and parents with information about registering for high school.
If no, continue to Steps 2 and 3.

Step 2: Find Your Designated School
Confirm the designated school for your home address.  Find Your School​ and school boundary maps are available under Schools. ​

Step 3: Make Contact With Your Designated School
Registration packages are availible at the Guidance Centre. Please contact the Guidance Centre to pick up a registration packge. Prepare and bring the following documents when picking up or dropping off your registration package. All documents must be presented to the school as originals and must be in English (or certified translation).
  • Student's Birth Certificate
  • Proof of home address (at least two pieces of identification: tax assessment, utility, telephone, gas, hydro or cable bill)
  • Proof of status in Canada (for non-Canadian born students)
  • Legal documents related to custody and access, if applicable
  • Secondary timetable, credit summary/transcript and most rescent reportcard 
Step 4: Registration
After the package is received in guidance with all of the above information an appointment will be arranged for the Parents and Student to meet with the Vice Principal and assigned Guidance Counsellor. The Guidance Counsellor will do their very best to accomodate the families request for courses. Please be aware of the limitations we sometimes incur with late registrations as courses fill up fast. Our registration process begins in January and February for the following school year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be Catholic to attend a Catholic high school?

Students do not need to be Catholic to attend a Catholic high school, however they are required to take religious classes throughout all four years and to fully participate in the Catholic school curriculum and faith celebrations.

Where do I find school bus information?
Southwestern Ontario Student Transportation Services is responsible for delivering school bus transportation to eligible students. Students must be registered to confirm eligibility or go to to check address. 

Can my child go to a different school other than their designated school?
Students are required to attend the designated school where they live. Should you wish for your child to attend a different school then please contact the principal of the school you are required to attend to discuss the criteria for applying for a boundary exemption.

When does school start and end? When are PA Days?
School start and dismissal times are individual, contact your child's school or visit them for details. All Professional Activity Days are posted on our School Year Calendar.

Is French Immersion available?
Yes! French immersion is available at Mother Teresa Secondary School (London), and St. Mary's High (Woodstock).  

Does the London District Catholic School Board accept international students?
International students may apply to attend secondary school only. Please contact Admissions at for more information about the application process.

What sports are offered? At what level?
A variety of sports are offered at all of our Catholic schools. Please see our athletics page for more information or contact a school.

Is summer school available?
Summer school is offered through our Centre of Lifelong Learning.
