Department Information

Welcome to the Catholic Central Crusaders Athletics Department!

The primary objective of the Athletics Department is to maximize participation in healthy active living & sport through co-curricular and extra-curricular involvement.

In our Health & Physical education department we focus on teaching games for understanding and physical literacy, so that students will build an excellent foundation that allows them the opportunity to be active for life. Please explore our health and physical education department page to learn more about all of the various courses we offer at CCH.

Over the lunches our grade 12 leadership class organizes various intramural activities that promote healthy active living and a sense of belonging to our community. Please click on the link to our intramurals page to learn more about the various activities our students have planned for our students.

Our LEAP program, which stands for Leaders in Exercise and Athletics Program, allows students to obtain a Specialist High Skills Major in the areas of Health & Wellness or Sports Management. We are also very excited about a new opportunity that allows our LEAP students to concurrently enroll in an International Baccalaureate Career Related Program (IBCP). Please clink on the LEAP and International Baccalaureate links under Programs and Services to learn more about these exclusive programs.

Catholic Central has a long history of pride, tradition and excellence in our interschool athletics program. Every year we have a tremendous amount of staff, alumni and community members who volunteer hundreds of hours coaching our students to meet their athletic potential. Please click on the links to our interschool athletics page and our awards and recognition page to learn about our interschool athletics program and the many accomplishments Catholic Central has had since the early 50's.
